Pornanong Phatlum shot a second round 69 to stay two shots behind the leaders in the inaugural World Ladies Championship in China yesterday.
The 22-year-old Thai had a seven-under-par 137 total at the 54-hole tournament and was tied for third along with Parker Florentyna of England (68) at the Mission Hills Haikou.
They were two shots behind Chinese co-leaders Feng Shan Shan (69) and Ye Li Ying (67).
The Chaiyaphum native, who shot four birdies against a lone bogey at 16th, said the wind was a problem for her.
”It was a disappointing day for me. My putting was also bad,” said Pornanong.
Nontaya Srisawang posted a 71 with five birdies against two bogeys and a double bogey. She was tied for 10th place on a three-under-par 141.
Titiya Pluckstaporn struggled with a 77 for 150.
In the team event, China strengthened their No.1 position on 270 while Thailand were second on 278.
